The Green Mountains
Rutland is located right near Killington, part of the Green Mountains, which receives 250 inches of snow each winter! Come get your ski on! Killington provides skiers and riders the choice of wide-open groomed cruisers, narrow classic New England runs, moguls, steeps and trees all serviced by over 22 lifts. The Resort offers several terrain features for snowboarders and freeskiers in 6 terrain parks, which includes the brand new Burton's The Stash: an all-natural terrain park with over 50 features, as well as a 500-foot long half pipe with huge 18-foot walls.
Killington is always host to a jam-packed schedule of bands, festivals, and competitions including Rails 2 Riches, the USSA Hole Shot, and SBX NorAm Tour on any given season. There's plenty to do off the mountain not limited to snowmobile tours, dog sledding, snow tubing, sleigh rides, cross-country skiing, spas and snowshoeing.
Killington features an 18-hole championship golf course as well as 45 miles of hiking and mountain biking trails once the snow melts. This provides outdoor enthusiasts with what they crave with trails for any skill level, yielding fantastic views, beautiful foliage, and varied wildlife.
